2020 turned out to be the gap year I soooo desperately needed.

Combining software engineering with being a full time student of a Nigerian federal university hasn’t been the easiest of tasks for me.

I recall considering taking a gap year so I could have enough time to focus on recognizing my career path and exploring different fields; an idea I later had to abandon after considering several factors.

Following the nationwide lockdown that stemmed from the outbreak of the coronavirus this year, coupled with the announcement of an indefinite strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)

Internships have always been fun for me, I participated in my first internship program way back in 2017 with ccHub and it was fun.

The road to my first internship with hotels.ng has definitely been filled with several twists and turns; the day after my application got accepted, my laptop screen broke badly and I was left with no option but to resort to the use off an HDMI cord with a “manageable” plasma tv. I had several work assignments and deadlines I had to meet up with and I decided it wasn’t just worth it to start looking for means to fix it.

Long story short, I’m here today with a renewed hope, a desire to be among the top tier software engineers in Nigeria and to help develop the tech community.

See you when I see you!
